Very clean and clear with notes of straw, biscuit, and toasted nuts. Independence Pale Ale is a UK style Pale Ale malt. Perfect for pub style Ales, and Lager recipes, or a flavorful base in any beer or spirit recipe.

This is also our recommended diastatic (i.e. enzymatic) ingredient for certain culinary applications. A small amount of barley malt flour in baking recipes with standard bread yeast helps produce a stronger rise. Barley malt flour also adds flavor and caramelization to crust when heat is applied in the oven.
