From Breweries in PA: The PA Pride beer series, which showcases the robust Pennsylvania agriculture industry, culminates with the final release of 2022. Breweries from across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania have teamed up to produce the eighth installment of the series, and fourth of 2022. Named for the love and pride we all share for the Keystone state, this version is an Amber Lager made with locally grown and malted barley. Find it HERE.

“We chose to brew an amber lager to highlight the warm flavors of highly kilned malts that make it the perfect beer to enjoy from early fall to the holidays. PA Pride Amber Lager layers an aroma of floral honey with flavors of light caramel and toasted bread crust all balanced by a noble hop bitterness” says Ted Brochu of Deer Creek Malthouse.

PA Pride Amber Lager will be packaged and released in 16-ounce cans by over 12 different Pennsylvania breweries that have joined the collaboration. See the full map of where it can be found below. The label for this beer features the original PA Pride artwork that this beer series has become well known for, showcasing the iconic PA keystone outline.

“The original PA Pride started as a way to support small craft breweries with a packaged product that would allow them to share with their customers. Breweries without the capabilities of canning beer could now have a to-go option in their taproom coolers without the massive investment of a canning operation. It has since grown into so much more by connecting the many different breweries that make up this amazing state” says Chadd Balbi, co-founder of Breweries In PA, one of the companies behind the project.

Meanwhile, there’s still time to try PA Pride’s predecessors, including Hazy Pale Ale, Pilsner, Kölsch, Hazy Session IPA, Double IPA, Fruited Sour, and Multigrain Saison.
